GPS means "Global Positioning System is new Technique for Protection of Transmission System.In this GPS system,the relay are fault transient detection linked with communication unit already communication unit connected to the Power line through High Voltage Coupling capacitors of the CVT.The whole Story of the Seminar was to Protect the Transmission system and fault control and measure in substaions.
